Dizmo Confirms Jae Cash Owns 100% of Apa Ili So Entertainment: “I’m Just Signed”

Zambian rapper Dizmo, real name Ishmael Chisala, has finally addressed long-standing rumors surrounding his position at Apa Ili So Entertainment, the powerhouse label that helped shape his career.

Speaking in a recent episode of “On The Table”, the Kale Twasebana hitmaker revealed that Jae Cash is the sole owner of the label — clearing up assumptions that the two share ownership.

“No, no, it’s his company. I’m signed under Apa Ili So,” Dizmo stated during the interview.

Dizmo went on to express deep gratitude and loyalty to Jae Cash, describing him not just as a boss but as a brother and mentor who believed in him from the start.

“My loyalty with Jae is not just about music — he’s my big brother. There are certain things we do apart from making music together.”

He reflected on their journey together, highlighting how Jae Cash signed him even before becoming an established artist himself.

“The time he was signing me, he wasn’t really an established artist yet — he was just breaking through. But he gave me the chance to do my thing. Now that we’ve both grown, we can do great things and create a big empire.”

Despite confirming that he has no ownership stake in Apa Ili So, Dizmo emphasized that the label operates more like a family business than a traditional record company.

“We’ve built an empire — this is our company. My heart is with the company. His heart, I know, is with the company also. So it’s like a family business at the same time. It’s not just music — it’s family.”

He added that Apa Ili So prioritizes understanding and brotherhood before anything else.

“Everyone that signs under Apa Ili So — there are certain things that we don’t do and certain things that we do. Before music, we sit down and talk and understand each other on a brotherly level.”

đź’¬ Fans React

Following the interview, social media lit up with mixed reactions. While some fans praised Dizmo’s humility and loyalty, others expressed surprise that he doesn’t own a share in the label despite being one of its biggest stars.

On X (formerly Twitter), one fan wrote:

“Respect to Dizmo for keeping it real. Loyalty like that is rare in this industry.”

Another commented:

“He deserves to have a stake, but you can’t knock his loyalty. That’s real Apa Ili So energy.”

🧠 Background
